National Sales Call

This past Thursday was mark.'s monthly National Sales call. Every month, they set up a conference call (with web capabilities) and share news with the mark. Reps around the nation. This is also the time mark. reveals the newest products and allows the Reps to buy at a discounted price. Since I am part of the Communication and Education team at mark., I was invited to stay and have a special part during the call. This call was jam-packed with excitement for me!

I had the opportunity to look over the agenda for the call and add anything I thought the Reps should know or would want to hear. It was so cool to see how these calls are formulated and all the planning and practice that goes into them. I also was asked to be a moderator on the Q&A chat section. I loved being able to help other Reps during the call.

AND THE BEST PART...I was so excited to hear that I got to wear mark.'s LATEST fashion items and model them on the webcast for all the Reps to see! Here is what I was given to wear: (thanks for the gifts mark.!)
mark.'s "Paint the Town" Dress and "Belt it Out" Belt

mark.'s "Twist and Tassel Necklace" and "Lots of Links Bracelet"

Most of the other interns stayed after work on Thursday too, to get to sit in on the call. Deb Mellon, Vice President of Sales, leads the call and decided to give a shout out to all the interns who stayed, and she even gave a scan of the room using the webcam, showing us all there!

During the call, they always announce top sellers. I, along with the other sellers, was recognized as one of the Top 15 Saleswomen in the Nation! All of the interns and executives were so kind to cheer and clap when they heard my name! If I can make it to the top 6, I win a trip to Rio de Janeiro! Keep buying and send me to RIO!! =)

The call also launched mark.'s first ever FREE TRADE products. I am so proud that mark. is introducing this line. mark.'s ad reads: "Help change the world with four of the best body care products on earth. Fair Trade certification means our collection helps farmers around the globe help themselves in investing in their farms and communities, encouraging the development of business skills, and mandating environmentally sustainable farming methods. After all, what's fair is fair." The products being introduced are: "Do The Right Thing--Smoothing Body Lotion" $12, "Fresh Approach--Hydrating Body Cleanser" $10, "Relief Effort--Total Comfort Body Cream" $14, and "The Big Fix--15 in 1 Benefits Balm" $10. I can order these and send them to you now, so let me know if you are interested in these awesome products!

As if that wasn't enough for one call, mark. also hosted Jean Chatzky to talk to the Reps! Jean is an American financial journalist, author and motivational speaker. She has given personal financial advice on various TV shows, and is most commonly known from Oprah! She also is the financial editor for NBC's Today Show. Jean gave all the Reps on the call money saving advice and ways to help their business. She was a hit! The Reps really seemed to like the advice she had and were all very active in participating with Q&A.

Friday morning, I found this on my desk:

The note says, "Beth, I wanted to say thank you for helping with the National Call and being our fabulous model! You've been so helpful and so great. Glad you are a part of our team." --Char
"Enjoy these treats ya HOT TAMALE!"
