I ran at the Promenade and here are the views I had:

This run gave me the energy for what was next! The girls and I decided to tackle some of Broadway today. Our first adventure was through Morningside Park.

We decided to stop for lunch at a place that was recommended to us by a friend. It was delicious!
I ordered a crepe filled with Nutella (a favorite!), ginger bread crumbs, and bananas. But the best part was the GELATO topping! If I have any visitors, we will definitely be going back here!
Here we are (minus Brittany since she was taking the picture): Me, Kelsey, Makenzie, and Krystal, ready to eat our crepes!

As we were walking, we came across this beautiful church and just had to take a picture. We couldn't get the name of it, but I might try to go back and see it another time.

And then to the famous Seinfeld Cafe, Tom's. I'm not a Seinfeld fan, but one of the interns had to see it. It was a good thing that I was able to add to my list of NY experiences.

After a bit of shopping at "Steps" and checking out the competition at Sephora, we stopped at Central Park. First up: Strawberry Fields.

A little background about the Strawberry Fields entrance: "The entrance to the memorial is located on Central Park West at West 72nd Street, directly across from the Dakota Apartments, where Lennon lived for the later part of his life and where he was murdered. The memorial is a triangular piece of land falling away on the two sides of the park, and its focal point is a circular pathway mosaic of inlaid stones, a reproduction of a mosaic from Pompeii, made by Italian craftsmen as a gift from the city of Naples. In the center of the mosaic is a single word, the title of Lennon's famous song: "Imagine". Along the borders of the triangular area surrounding the mosaic are benches which are endowed in memory of other individuals and maintained by the Central Park Conservancy."
And a few more pictures we took in the park. I was overwhelmed by its size. I understand how people get lost there. The girls and I are planning a "picnic in the park" for another weekend soon.

We also saw Trump Tower. It was so tall!

Brittany, Kelsey, Makenzie, Haley and I ended a great day with a night out on the town. It was such a fun first weekend!

This is Brittany my roommate!

I feel so lucky to be surrounded by these girls. I love each of them--they are so great! They are so accepting, supportive, and fun. I couldn't ask for better friends. Our love for mark. brought us together and that kind of bond can never be broken! Haha!
