I had a great 4th of July! My parents brought my sister and three of her friends to New York for the weekend. We did so much--a lot of shopping.
Here is the view of the Hudson River from my parents' hotel in New Jersey.
Gabi, Tara, Jenna, and Chrissy along the Hudson.

Dinner at John's Pizzeria in Times Square.

Jenna and her friends rode the Ferris Wheel in Toys R Us in Times Square.

Back at the hotel, there were Busken cookies waiting for me! I loved the mid-summer taste of Cincinnati. Thanks Dad and Mom! I can't wait to get back to Busken and Graeters =)

On the way to the train...even my Dad supports mark. He is wearing a tassel from a green mark. purse of mine. Looks good on him, doesn't it?

On the way to the city!

Let's take a poll--What was your favorite part of the day?
Okay what about you Dad?
Seriously? Watching us? I would have thought your stylish Rolex would have been your favorite part. Ask my Dad how he bargained on the streets of Chinatown to get this!

For dinner, we headed to Little Italy!!
After all the restaurants fought for our business, we ended up here, at Giovanna's. We all LOVED the food. It was so good and so filling--Great atmosphere too.

On the way to mass on Sunday, we saw one of my favorites...Juicy Couture.

We went to mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral. The Cathedral is the largest gothic-style Catholic Cathedral in the United States and has been recognized throughout its history as a pre-eminent center of Catholic life in this country. It was breathtaking.
The golden doors at the entrance.
St. Patrick himself.
Hercules across the street from the Cathedral.
The REAL Saks on Fifth Avenue.
The American Girl Store. Every girl's favorite doll. I had a few American dolls growing up. I LOVED them. It was so cool to go inside this store and see all the new things they offer for dolls!
Next to my favorite doll. Isn't she precious? In a raincoat and boots--and her dog has an umbrella for rain gear too!
Next, we went to the Rockefeller Center and took a look in the NBC Store.
Avon's office: 1251 Avenue of the Americas. There are a few days that the mark. interns report to the Avon offices, so it was great to walk my parents by my "second home".
The theme ofthe weekend was....Can you guess?
Shopping!!
Here we are, at it again in SoHo. We were looking at this street vendor's handmade jewelry.

And by the end of the day, we ended back up in Chinatown. The girls couldn't get enough of the thrill of finding, bargaining, and buying purses.

That night, we stayed in New Jersey to see the fireworks over the Hudson River. It was a great view of the city all lit up!

Awesome 4th of July weekend. Thanks for the visit Dad, Mom, and Jenna (and Jenna's friends). It was so much fun to get to show you around and see more of NY. Can't wait til you come back for my birthday. Not too much longer!!
